Dagbreek is the Afrikaans word for dawn implying a new day. Dagbreek is an Afrikaans development centre for children and young adults with special needs and disabilities.

The Dagbreek centre is a Christian safe haven for children and young adults with a developmental delay. It offers a safe and relaxed farm atmosphere which is conducive for the development of life skills and mastering functional literacy and numeracy. The focus is on the needs and abilities of each individual, and the learners are supported and stimulated to reach their full potential. They learn through interaction and participation inside and outside the classroom. Here they can experience farm work, horseriding, camps, expeditions and many more fun filled activities to develop some important work- and life skills. The centre carries its own financial load, without subsidies from government, and is dependent on donations and contributions from the parents.
